Dell Inspiron 1420 is cleaner than the predecessor model Which had a kind retro-futuristic and angular look. The chassis has a black bottom and the silver trim is there too. You get to choose from eight colors now for lid like Espresso Brown, Ruby Red, Flamingo Pink, and Midnight Blue. Models in the line of 1420 start from $ 800 and my test unit was well equipped with plenty of power.

The new Vostro machine is made for small business purposes and has tailored the new Dell Inspiron laptop for catering to the needs of home PC buyers. You will get everything that you'd expect as a home buyer in terms of PC software and hardware. My review model had a 160 GB SATA hard drive, 8X multi-format DVD writer, (I expected a Blu-ray drive at this price, but still it is not that disappointing) and two megapixel camera for video chatting.
